Waffles...mmm!

Nothing beats some homemade waffles with butter and syrup to make your Saturday morning start off right. After a long busy week at work, I am looking forward to a weekend of just sitting around and relaxing! My netflix movie is in, my dvr has some Law and Order saved up and a good book is all I need to enjoy a couple days of down time.
Mark you calendars - February 3rd is the big day when The Fray's new cd is released! Borders, here I come!

Another new year...

Nothing like starting the new year out feeling lucky!

There was a drawing at work on Friday and I somehow managed to be the pick for $2000! I even told my supervisor I wasn't going to attend the drawing cause I had plenty of work to do yet for the afternoon. Then a huge bundle of balloons shows up at my desk and the rosatia was sure to follow. To top it off, I had no electricity Friday morning so I did my best getting ready in the dark and showed up with some ridiculous hair ( that's right, I can't live without my blow dryer and straightener...well I can live... I just won't make any public appearances ) and they so promptly took my photo to send out in a mass email to the whole company on Monday. But hey ... $2000 is worth it in the end. See ya soon Mr. Tax Man!

Facebook

This is so true! In college, my boss and I were looking through applications from students to work at T*H*E Bakery. We would use my facebook account to look up the student and find out if they were good looking, if they had any crazy pictures, and if we had any common friends. We hired some of the best employees and party pals that way. Love it!

Post-It

Winter is the perfect time to curl up under a blanket, in front of a fire and dive into a good book! I don't frequent the library as much as I used to, but next time I do... I am doing this!

Chopped!

I officially chopped off all my hair. This is the shortest yet and I am still trying to get used to it being gone.

Career Fair

Last month I returned as an alumi to the college I graduated from. I was representing my company at a booth at the career fair. I still have a few ties of people who graduated and never left the wonderful college town along with a few coworkers still in school there. I opted to stay with an old friend to cut my traveling expenses alittle. I quickly remembered that guys have much lower standards when it comes to the condition of the apartment they will live in and the overall cleanliness.

For starters, I would have never rented this apartment. Granted...if you only have so much money for rent, you get what you pay for. With that understood, I would have found a stranger to live with me before I would have rented here. The place was older and kind of falling apart. So that in itself makes it hard to keep some areas clean. I opted to skip the shower that morning as I felt cleaner after examining the tub. Yet my bed hair was not going to be professional for the career fair (now had I been a college student going to class that morning - I would have gone as is). I busted out some dish soap and cleaned down the sink. I proceeded then to wash my hair in the kitchen sink. I figured I had succeeded in making due with the situation.

As I went digging through my bag for my brush, I realized I was without. I don't know how it works this way - but men just don't ever need to comb their hair I guess. There was not a comb or a brush to be found. I would now like to dedicate my experience to Disney. As I flashed back on my childhood years, I realized there was a simple solution for this dilema. All men like to eat! In the kitchen drawer I found a metal fork which thanks to The Little Mermaid works just like a comb!
